Farm Day Enjoys 11th Year in Ventura County

More than 15 Ventura County farms, ranches and agricultural organizations will open their doors to the public to experience a day of free agricultural activities and tours during the 11th Annual Ventura County Farm Day. The event, themed as “Meet The Hands That Feed You,” takes place on Saturday, November 4, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and includes behind-the-scenes tours, tractor-with-trailer rides, tastings, giveaways and kid-friendly activities.

Participants will include Reiter Affiliated Companies (producers of berries), Driscoll’s (producer of strawberries), Duda Farm Fresh Foods (producer of row crops), Alpacas At Windy Hills (Alpaca fleece), Oxnard Historic Farm Park (featuring antique farm equipment and vegetable crops), Agromin (creating organic compost and mulch), McGrath Family Farm (dedicated to organic farming) and a Farm Day Hub at Petty Ranch with orchard tours, exhibits and hands-on, farm-related kids’ activities.

The Farm Day Trail Map of the latest participants can be viewed at venturacountyfarmday.com/map. Some locations require reservations.

The nonprofit 501(c)(3) Students for Eco-Education and Agriculture (SEEAG) organizes Ventura County Farm Day.
