1. Why Me?
I have worked within my community as a business person and community advocate. From CERT to the Special Olympics, Neighborhood Council and member and board member in many Chambers of Commerce, I have had my hand on the pulse of my community, my city and my state. I represent the people of my community because I am one of them. They, like me, are tired of seeing what is happening to California and the communities they love. I want the good folks who left to come back to the California they once loved: less government, more safety and security and less oppressive taxation.
2. Pressing Issues
Safety: Laws that punish criminals and protect citizens. Putting law-abiding citizens over criminals.
Cost of Living: Bring down prices, review regulations that are unnecessary and increase costs to businesses. Develop strategies to encourage businesses back to CA. Rebuild our commercial tax base.
Government Services: Clean house. Audit government programs to ensure their outcomes exceed their cost to run. Implement heavily scrutinized accountability systems to find and eliminate waste. Make sure that infrastructure is maintained, repaired and protected.
3. Present Leadership
Leadership is failing to keep the citizens safe, and our infrastructure is a nightmare. However, in spite of the terrible outcomes relative to the homeless crisis, there has been some solid information and data that can be applied to bringing better outcomes to the homeless crisis. I just don’t think it should have cost billions to get it. Things aren’t working. We need a cohesive plan with the courage to eliminate programs that are not working.
4. What Else?
I want to SERVE. I understand that I represent a diverse group of constituents and will work to represent them all, with a focus on safety, affordability, and improved government services.
