1. Why Me?
I am running because you deserve a better California. I decided I could not sit on the sidelines and let the state, and country, continue to lose its way.
2. Pressing Issues
Affordability and Neighborhood Safety are the two most pressing issues facing our state and community. As your Assemblyman, I will:
Cut your taxes; defend Proposition 13; reduce regulations on small businesses; support public safety professionals; hold criminals accountable for their actions; and support responsible development of water infrastructure.
3. Present Leadership
The proof is all around us: Most of our current leaders in Sacramento are not interested in helping California’s working families. If they were, they would implement the common sense solutions that I have proposed. The only thing they have done well is serving special interests and driving working families out of California. Bottom line: We need new leadership in State Government if we want to make California affordable and safe for working families.
4. What Else?
I am not doing this for me; I am doing this for you. I will always put the needs of my community and state first. I will fight for common sense policies that promote affordability and ensure neighborhood safety.

Current Occupation/Service: Assemblymember
1. Why Me?
I have deep roots in the Conejo Valley, having raised my three children here. During my ten years on the Thousand Oaks City Council and ten years in the State Assembly, I have focused on local community issues and helping people with constituent services when assistance is needed with the DMV, our health care system, or other government services.
2. Pressing Issues
My primary focus is maintaining our quality of life by bringing state resources to help protect local open space, maintain our streets and roads, and support public safety and emergency services. This year, I have also focused efforts on working with the Ventura County District Attorney to pass AB 1779, which will help put criminals guilty of organized retail theft behind bars.
3. Present Leadership
As former Chair of the Assembly Committee on Military and Veteran Affairs, I fought hard for our veterans and thought more needed to be done to help get homeless veterans off the streets and into housing. Last year, I was able to secure $1 billion specifically for veterans in Proposition 1.
4. What Else?
As an engineer, I focus on solving problems and listening to my local community to ensure that I am representing the 42nd Assembly District well.
